etad buddhvā buddhimān syāt kṛtakṛtyaś-ca bhārata ॥ 20 ॥
Detailed Meaning: Lord Krishna concludes the fifteenth chapter by revealing the profound significance of the knowledge he has imparted. He addresses Arjuna as "anagha" (sinless, faultless) and "Bhārata" (descendant of Bharata), emphasizing his worthiness to receive such confidential wisdom. Krishna states that this teaching, described as "guhyatamaṁ śāstram" (the most confidential science or scripture), has been fully explained by Him. The profound implication is that anyone who truly understands "etad buddhvā" this knowledge attains the status of "buddhimān" (intelligent or wise) and becomes "kṛtakṛtyaḥ" (one who has accomplished all duties, or achieved the ultimate purpose of life). This verse encapsulates the entire chapter's message, asserting that understanding the nature of the cosmic tree, the individual soul, and the Supreme Purushottama, leads to ultimate liberation and fulfillment. It signifies that knowing the Supreme as the source, sustainer, and ultimate goal renders all other actions complete and purposeful.
